On June 4, 2012, Justin Bieber made an appeal to his fans for the promotion of his new fragrance, Girlfriend: he called everyone to make a remake of his Boyfriend tube to promote fragance. It took only two days for a parodic video to appear on the Youtube, in which a girl with a little inhabited look describes the excessive attention she would bring to her next companion. Here it is:

The video was an instant hit, and currently exceeds 4 million views with nearly 48,000 thumbs up on YouTube. The spitting humor and absolutely creepy facial expressions of the anonymous youtuber made success on the Reddit website, then on the rest of the Internet platforms: screenshots of her hallucinatory look, accompanied by completely creepy comments, bloomed everywhere, creating the Overly Attached Girlfriend meme.

This is proof that while guys on the Internet can sometimes show a sexism quite limited, we can also find a lot of second degree sexism about girls and relationships.
